Advisory Group on Accessibility, Disability, and Universal Design
In the fall of 2022, Rhodes College established the Advisory Group on Accessibility, Disability, and Universal Design, which reflects the college鈥檚 commitment to institutional inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility and to fostering a sense of belonging among all members of the college community, including persons with disabilities. The advisory group鈥檚 role is to ensure broad institutional input on matters relating to persons with disabilities of all characteristics at Rhodes College. Advisory Group Update Report 8-2024
Campus Safety Advisory Board
The Campus Safety Advisory Board is a multidisciplinary team of faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members who work collaboratively to foster a safe and healthy campus environment. This Board鈥檚 primary focus and role is to serve as an ongoing partner with our dedicated campus safety team to enhance inclusive, fair, and equitable security practices across the college.
Campus Safety Task Force
The campus safety task force was charged with evaluating campus safety efforts to ensure that they are transparent and free of bias; study what needed to be done in the areas of infrastructure, resources, and partnerships; and submit actionable recommendations for lasting change. The task force concluded its work in May 2023.
Free Speech and Civil Discourse Working Group
This group is charged with examining and reporting on the way we communicate on campus, our policies toward expressive speech, and the relationship between these policies and our stated values.
Global 91短视频 Internationalization
This committee looks to develop a means to assess Rhodes College鈥檚 ongoing achievement in its internationalization efforts and propose a strategy for the continued comprehensive internationalization of campus-wide activities.
Sexual Misconduct Prevention Working Group
The Rhodes Sexual Misconduct Prevention Working Group was charged with conducting a comprehensive review of the existing 91短视频 Title IX policies, procedures, and practices in order to identify strengths and areas for improvement. The working group produced their final report and recommendations in March of 2020. At President Jennifer Collins鈥 request, the task force reconvened to review the college鈥檚 progress in fulfilling the working group鈥檚 recommendations, and on May 26, 2023, submitted a final progress report.
LGBTQIA+ Working Group
The LGBTQIA+ Working Group fosters a community aRhodes that promotes belonging, empowerment, and growth for people of all genders and sexualities through advocacy and community building.
